The Cocoon (30� F / 0� C) sleeping bag is thermally efficient by design and is insulated with the new Primaloft SB insulation (20% more loft than Primaloft Sport). The 30� centre zipper closes to the neck and snugs the bag around the shoulders, eliminating the need for a draft collar. The close fitting hood works like a jacket hood and uses considerably less fabric and insulation than a classic sleeping bag design. Shock cord and linking toggle closure allow the hood to be drawn in closely to form a tunnel above mouth and nose for chilly nights.

"Wearing a toque to bed is pretty standard in cooler weather, but with the cocoon you can leave it behind along with itchy hat head. The bag is cut snug to the shoulders and head, so it fits like a down jacket. The advantage is that there's less bag to heat, stuff and carry, and the hood is tightagainst the headtrapping precious heat and keeping ears warm. While sleeping, instead of rolling around inside the bag, you roll with it - as you would with clothes on. A quarter-length zip down the middle makes it easy to get your hands out to eat or play cards while in camp. The Pertex shell is windproof and water-resistant.
