| Designed to provide protection from rain and wind, this lightweight, fully waterproof unisex jacket is comfortable to wear all day long. Features include a fully separating waterproof front zip and an integrated elasticized hood. Adjustable cuffs and bottom hem are trimmed with black coated taslan nylon for increased durability. A large (8 x 9) vertical zippered breast pocket is designed to store maps and small items.
Sizing is snug as the eVent Rain Jacket is designed for active use over one or two base layers.
Made from eVent, a direct venting, air-permeable PTFE trilaminate fabric with a triple grid 30 denier nylon face fabric, the eVent Rain Jacket is one of the lightest most compact high activity rain jackets available. The fabric has a high rate of moisture vapor permeability which means that there is no excessive condensation buildup on the inside during active use. |

| Product Review: eVent is a fairly new waterproof/breathable fabric thats received rave reviews for performance, weight, and packability. The fabric did perform as advertised, and justifies the cost of the jacket. Washington Trails, Mar 2005 "Our jury is unanimous: eVent fabric is the most breathable waterproof fabric we've ever worn. In mild rain and swirling snow, testers found that the fabric started moving moisture out as soon as the steaminess began accumulating inside. Even hard-to-vent areas on our backs hardly got damp. Result: more time hiking, less time changing layers. But this jacket's hem stops at the waist, exposing your rear to wetness, and the hood has no brim. Durability is topnotch despite the light construction. Fit is the closest (of 3 products reviewed), but adequate for a midlayer underneath, and the jacket has a large chest pocket. The superior breathability makes it a great emergency rain jacket that can double as a wind shell. You'll want to wash it regularly to keep the fabric's micropores from getting clogged."
