| This preformed circular tarp is ideal for backcountry ski groups looking for temporary refuge while waiting out weather. With 2 tunnel vents, 5 internal securing lines and an adjustable shock cord around the hem, the ski guides tarp can stay ventilated and securely anchored in the worst of conditions. Dig a 2 ft deep by 3 ft pit into the snow, place a ski upright in the centre, sit in a circle on the edge of the pit with feet in the pit, pull tarp over the group's heads, insert boots into the securing lines to prevent flapping. This creates a warm and comfortable temporary shelter for sitting out a storm or taking a lunch break.

Product Review:
"When the weather turns gnarly, set up the Ski Guides Tarp from Integral Designs to re-group. This pre-formed circular tarp is designed to be used around a pit dug in the snow for up to six people to huddle inside. Stick a pole or ski in the reinforced center, sit on the hold down ribbons with feet hanging into the pit. Brew up some tea and get comfy! The Tarp is made from super-strong, super-light parachute cloth which is stronger and lighter than rip-stop nylon. However, one should be careful around ski poles as it can be punctured. The Tarp has 2 vents sewn into opposite sides. The whole thing weighs 13 ounces and fits into the 7"x 3.5" stuff sack included." Backcountry Magazine - Issue 30 2002
