First Ascent Series - Andromeda Strain The Andromeda Strain on Mt Andromeda (V 5.9 A2 W4) was first ascened by David Cheesmond, Barry Blanchard and Tim Friesen over two days in April 1983. It took 6 years and numerous attempts before it was climbed by this team.

Materials: 4oz Primaloft Sport insulation, single layer top and bottom, 30 denier Pertex Microlight outer shell fabric, 30 denier inner lining (black).
