"Just got back from an ascent of Resplendent Mountain (11,400'), which in my opinion is the most serious ski mountaineering ascent in the Rockies with serious avalanche, icefall, crevasse, cornice, weather and time considerations. It was a big day - 14 hours to cover 25km round trip and 6,000 vertical feet, At rest stops I would just throw on the incredibly light Primaloft Dolomitti and be toasty warm. I feel much safer in the big mountains knowing I have the safety factor of a warm jacket in the event of storm or emergency" - Chic Scott, March 2006 . . . "This is the fifth expedition that I have brought a Dolomitti with me and I love it. I would not go on an alpine wall without one." This is my prized item of outdoor clothing. I wear it everyday on expeditions while climbing, belaying and hanging out at basecamp as well as at home in the Canadian Rockies"' - Sean Isaac

Product Review:

"This beefy jacket ranked among the warmest in the test, and its weight and packed size were quite competitive. During two cold spells along new York's Taconic trail, the long and roomy Primaloft Sport stuffed Dolomitti heated me up like and electric blanket. A generous tail and high collar kept out drafts, as did the wide Spandura cuffs. Through lots of scraping and poking, the Dolomitti also proved one of the test's toughest jackets. Sewn with Pertex, a microfibre ripstop nylon, the shell turned back briers and brambles, as well as heavy gusts and a light drizzle. Reinforcement patches on the shoulders, elbows, and forearms stood up to rough shelter floors and granite outcrops, and storm flaps protected the outside pockets. We had only two complaints: smallish zipper tabs and a separate stuff sack, which I promptly lost. Overall, we admired the Dolomitti's rugged design, steady performance, and budget-conscious price." - Backpacker, September 1997.
