"The bottom line: A high performance, sturdy, lightweight,
watertight tent that becomes super-light if you leave the roomy vestibule
at home." ... More from

XL
| Just wanted to drop you guys a
line and let you know how happy I am that I purchased the MK1 XL tent. I
know that these tents are typically used by folks who climb mountains
covered in snow and ice. I however, used mine in mountains covered by lush
vegetation in Costa Rica. I spent six months in that tent on the Pacific
coast and it held up like a champ. The bomber seams held up even when
coconuts fell on the roof of my fabric domicile. My buddy wasn''t so lucky
and neither was his tent. A coconut left him out in the monsoons while I
simply curled up in my humble, but fast and functional abode. Thank you
again, and remember that mountaineers aren''t the only ones that can use a
great product. |

I purchased a MK1 XL tent
directly from you in the spring of 1998. You customized the tent to my
specifications and for the last two years it has endured various weather
conditions during all four seasons. I am very pleased April 2000 |

"My MK tent has seen well over
300 days in the field. It''s still waterproof. I have climbed for 8 hours
comfortably in 30 degree C below 0 (not including windchill) in my Parka
and Bib pants in the middle of winter. It comes down to one thing: I like
to be outside; Integral Designs offers me the confidence that I can go
where I want when I want, comfortably and safely." |

"...a quality built product
that I repeatedly trust my life to. Your tent has been a shelter from the
elements that has changed the level of commitment I am willing to make on
the big peaks I''ve attempted..." |

"Well, what can I say about
this tent? ...I have had it for five years and it has been with me on 12
expeditions. ...in a 35mph wind. I put my
Mark 3 up in six minutes, unaided." |

Several years back I set out to
purchase the best tent available. After a lot of deliberation I settled on
either Bibler or Integral Designs. Price gave me the final boost to go
with the Integral Designs MK1, and I haven''t regretted it! I''ve weathered
some pretty violent storms in comfort. I went on a trip with a buddy a
couple years back who had purchased some fancy new mountaineering tent and
insisted on using it. The weather turned real wet and during the first
night so did my sleeping bag. The trip turned into a week of Hell on Earth
and I learned a very valuable lesson! If I go, my MK1 goes as well!
I''m gonna give myself one of your outerwear
suits this year. I''m still debating on the suit or the 2 pc outfit.
Whichever way I go, I am completely confident I will be getting a serious
piece of gear. Thanks again and best wishes.
